The Mill Bay Marine Group is looking for a Junior Bookkeeper to join our team.

Mill Bay Marine Group is a growing, family owned business. We currently operate multiple businesses throughout BC. We utilize our office in Mill Bay as our head office and this position would work out of Mill Bay. The successful candidate will have the interest in working with remote network and remote log in to ensure information flow.

Our junior bookkeeper will be leaving for maternity leave. Therefore the exact roll out of position will need to be flexible. You will need to fill the roll of junior bookkeeper for the year (AP, AR, and Bank and GL account reconciliations)

Formal education/training: 3+ years of experience. Proficiency using Quickbooks. Proficiency in Excel.

Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment. A self-starter. Able to work independently and with minimal supervision. Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to meet deadlines. Adjust quickly to changes in priorities. Work within a team environment to achieve results. Remuneration will to be determined upon experience.

Job Type: Full-time, 1 year

Salary: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

  • Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Mill Bay, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Experience:

  • Bookkeeping: 3 years (preferred)

  • QuickBooks: 1 year (preferred)
